    CARES HEERF Grant Info

    Read the following to learn about how CCTC is responsibly and effectively distributing HEERF funds to our students.

    1. Culpeper Cosmetology Training Center has signed and returned the Certification of Agreement to the Department of Education for the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid grants, and will use no less then 50% of these funds to disburse directly to students.
    2. CCTC has been awarded $83,682.00
    3. As of July 15, 2020, Culpeper Cosmetology Training Center has disbursed $15,675.00 of the total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants, Section 18004(a)(1).
    4. The total number of students at Culpeper Cosmetology Training Center who are or could be eligible to participate in the Federal Student Financial Aid programs under Section 484 of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, and thus are eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the Cares Act is eighteen.
    5. CCTC has distributed emergency grants to 15 students, or 83% of our student body that was eligible.
    6. Any student receiving an emergency financial aid grant must be Title IV eligible under Department of Education standards, currently and continuously enrolled during the State of Emergency from the novel corona virus and complete and return an application to the school Directors. Maximum award to student will not exceed $6,195.00
    7. Any and all grant money under the CARES Act must be used for expenses incurred and directly related to your life as a student during the affected time.
